 Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) UPDATE

To our TDC Family:

I hope this finds you and your family well. We at The DANCE Company (TDC) want to keep open and transparent communication with our entire community through these difficult times.  Therefore, unfortunately, The DANCE Company will not be able to re-open our doors as planned on March 30th due to the Virginia Governor’s Executive Order.

We want our TDC Family to know we are exploring ways to bring the community and movement to you through digital platforms.  We are currently working with our teaching staff to develop classes in the various dance genres (ie., Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop) and to post them on-line.  Please look for emails in the coming week announcing the release of these on-line classes.

We continue to evaluate the situation and will update our community as soon as we know more on opening our doors back to full operation. We hope to hold our Annual Recital, so be sure to practice your recital dances.  Based on the current state limitations, we are planning to reopen the studios on Monday, April 27th.

Now more than ever The DANCE Company (TDC) needs your support, as do so many other local small businesses. TDC was founded in 1977 and has provided quality dance instruction in Fairfax County since then.  We are a small company and your support means everything to us.  We know that some of you may be considering not paying April tuition, thinking why pay for something that I cannot physically attend for the next four weeks, maybe longer?  We are asking you to please reconsider.  If you can afford to continue to support TDC by paying all or part of your tuition for the month of April, so that we will still be viable when we come out the other side of this crisis, we would be forever grateful. When the dust settles and life goes back to normal, we want to make sure we are still standing strong and our staff is still with us, continuing to serve you to the best of our ability. We want to still be here for you at the earliest allowable moment.

The TDC Family that weathers this storm with us will be provided make-up classes to make up for hours missed during this time.

Please know, we are asking for your dedication and support while we continue to do the best we can to provide for our community in these unique and challenging times and as we hope to be able to continue do so back in the regular capacity when this is all behind us.

Thank you for your patience, support and understanding during this time of uncertainty. If you have any questions please email  We are monitoring our inbox and answering as quickly as possible.

We appreciate you all.

Please stay safe and healthy!
